Yield 8 Servings
This is one of my most favorite, occasional beverages. Thai Iced Tea is a hit at a party, and so easy to make
Ingredients
- ¾ cup tea (Pantai Norisingh Thai Tea, available at Amazon or most Asian stores)
- 8 cups boiling water
- 11/2 cups sugar
- Plenty of crushed ice
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- Straws
Directions
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. After water starts to boil, stir in tea and sugar. Reduce heat to low and steep for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat; let cool for 25 minutes. Strain the tea into a ½ gallon pitcher.
Chill well. Serve tea in a tall glass, over crushed ice, and top it off with a splash of evaporated milk (the milk will sink to the bottom). Add a straw and enjoy!

If you don’t use crushed ice and a straw it will not taste the same:) Don’t have crushed ice or a blender, fill a freezer bag with ice and hammer away:) When you finish drinking your tea, you will enjoy chewing on the flavored ice.
You will also need the full amount of sugar to get the flavor. True!!! If you cannot have the sugar then don’t make this recipe, have it less often, or make it for a party.
